Save Your RAM
Some computers and operating systems have difficulty managing memory, much like those of us who are getting along in age! Sadly, the first programs to crash because of memory problems are those that Windows deems unimportant--Paint Shop Pro being one of those. Yes, even the picture of your child that you've slaved for hours to perfect can crash just like that. Scanning an image can often crash Paint Shop Pro, but there's a step you can take to help prevent a crash. Before you scan a new image into Paint Shop Pro, adjust the Undo/Redo setting. Click on File, Preferences, General Program Preferences. In the resulting dialog box, click on the Undo tab and clear the check marks in the Enable Undo and the Enable Redo boxes. Once you've scanned the image, you can go back in and enable Undo/Redo.
