EASY BUBBLE PICTURE

Picture yourself floating in a bubble along a beautiful coastline. The hardest task in creating such an image will be finding the exact background that you see yourself floating upon. First, surf the Internet for vacation hideaways, find a fairly large image, and save it to your PSP file. Now open it in Paint Shop Pro and open a picture of yourself. Make sure both images are set at 16.7 million colors (click Colors, Increase Color Depth, 16.7). Select the Eyedropper tool and click on a color that is near the place you will float your bubble.

Now, make the picture of yourself active. Click Image, Deformation, Circle Deformation. Now you have yourself in a circle. Grab the Shapes selector, set it at Circle in the Tool control box, make sure Antialias is selected, and set Feather to 1. From the center of the image, go all the way to the edges of the circle. Click Edit, Copy and make your landscape active. Finally, select the Edit menu and paste the image as a new layer.

You may notice that the image is flat. Well, let's add some dimension! Go to the Layers palette, right-click on that layer, and choose New. Leave the settings at default and click OK. Now set the foreground color to white and grab the Shapes tool. In the Tool control box, choose Ellipse, Filled. Make a small ellipse off to the side of your circle. Now click Image, Blur, Gaussian Blur, and set it to 4.0. Now you have a nice highlight. You can use the four-way arrow to move it.
